VibeDex is an independent benchmark of AI tools. This page says, in plain words, what the site records when you read it or play The AI Hire, which services hold that data, and how to ask about it.

What VibeDex records
- Site analytics: which pages are opened, where a visit came from, the kind of device and browser, and a rough location from the network address. This is standard web analytics and it is anonymous to us.
- Product analytics: clicks and interactions on the site, and, for a sample of visits, a replay of how the page was used (where the pointer moved and what was scrolled). Anything typed into a form is masked in replays.
- The AI Hire, the office game: which day was played, which tool was picked at each step and whether it was the right one, how long a day took, the rating, and whether a result was shared. Nothing in these events identifies you.
What VibeDex does not do
- No account is needed for anything on the site, and the game has none.
- Nothing is sold or passed to advertisers. There is no advertising on the site.
- The game never asks for a name or an email. A shared result link carries only the day and the score numbers.
What stays in your browser
- The game keeps your progress on your device: the tools you have collected, your best rating for each day, your daily streak, and your settings. It is not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
- The analytics services above set cookies and similar identifiers in your browser so that repeat visits can be counted, and only after you choose OK on the cookie bar the first time you visit. Choose No thanks and neither service runs. You can change the choice at the bottom of this page. They are not used to identify you personally.
Who holds the data
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) for site analytics.
- PostHog (PostHog Inc, hosted in the European Union) for product analytics and replays.
- Google Cloud, which hosts the site, keeps standard server logs.
- Each keeps what it collects under its own retention settings, which we control and keep as short as the service allows. VibeDex does not run a database of visitors.
- Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC in the United States. Transfers outside the UK and EU rely on the safeguards UK and EU law provide for them (the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses). PostHog data stays in the EU.
Why we are allowed to
- Analytics cookies and replays run only with your consent, given on the cookie bar; you can withdraw it at any time at the bottom of this page.
- Server logs are kept for security and to keep the site running, which is a legitimate interest; they hold the network address and the page requested for a short period.
- The site and the game are not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Your rights
- Under UK data protection law you can ask what data we hold that relates to you, ask for it to be deleted, and object to its use. Because the data above is not tied to a name, the practical way to stop it is to block analytics in your browser or use a private window.
- For any request or question, email support@vibedex.ai. We reply within one month. The data controller is Vibedex Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
- If you are unhappy with how we handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, in the EU, to your national data protection authority.
